Water Safety

The American Red Cross Water Safety course is a comprehensive training program that covers everything from basic water safety to first aid and CPR. The course is designed for students of all ages and levels of experience, from those who have never been in a pool before to experienced swimmers.

The course is divided into four sections:
1) Basic water safety
2) First aid
3) CPR
4) Swimming skills

Each section builds on the knowledge and skills learned in the previous one. By the end of the course, students will have a thorough understanding of how to stay safe in and around water. They will also know what to do in case of an emergency.

1) Basic water safety: In this section, students will learn about the dangers of water and how to stay safe around it. They will also learn about different types of emergencies that can occur in or around water, such as drowning, hypothermia, and shock.

2) First aid: This section covers what to do in case of an emergency. Students will learn how to provide basic first aid for common injuries and illnesses. They will also learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

3) CPR: This section covers how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. Students will also learn how to use an AED on adults and children.

4) Swimming skills: In this section, students will learn basic swimming techniques. They will also learn how to perform different strokes and how to swim in different types of water conditions.
