American Red Cross CPR AED for Professional Rescuers Training Course

The American Red Cross CPR AED for Professional Rescuers training course is designed to provide professional rescuers with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform CPR and use an AED in a professional setting. This course will cover adult, child, and infant CPR as well as how to use an AED on all three.

Course Format
This course is offered in a blended learning format which includes an online portion and an in-person skills session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-person skills session. The in-person skills session will give you the opportunity to practice the skills learned in the online portion of the course under the guidance of a certified instructor.

Course Content
The online portion of the course covers the following topics:
• CPR and AED Fundamentals
• Chain of Survival
• Adult CPR and AED Use
• Child CPR and AED Use
• Infant CPR
• CPR for Victims of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)
• Special Considerations for Professional Rescuers

The in-person skills session will include a written exam as well as a practical exam where you will be assessed on your ability to perform CPR and use an AED on an adult, child, and infant manikin.

Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate that is valid for two years. You will also receive a wallet card that can be used as proof of certification.
