Long Island is enclosed in hundreds of miles of coastline, has countless lakes/rivers, and thousands of swimming pools.  It is clear that water is a part of our everyday lives, whether at the beach, summer camp, or the next pool party.  Safety plays a huge part in all of these activities and each of these have one thing in common: The need for individuals that can ensure the safety of others. Individuals with lifeguard, first aid, and CPR/AED certifications.

Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death in children ages 1 to 14 years old, and the fifth leading cause for people of all ages. Learning CPR, First Aid and how to operate an AED can save a life.

How to Become a Lifeguard on Long Island

To become a Lifeguard, you need obtain your certification from an accredited training course such as the one offered by Lifeguard LI. With hundreds of miles of coastline around Long Island, thousands of lifeguards are needed every summer to protect and oversee beaches and pools, and with a certification from our highly skilled instructors, you can join their ranks.
